Welcome to OxTrack

OxTrack is a ground breaking assessment system designed to measure, record, track, and support the professional growth of teachers. Developed from over 20 years of research at the University of Oxford, OxTrack is built on extensive empirical studies conducted in a wide range of countries. Our goal is to support educators—mainly, but not exclusively, in developing countries—by providing clear insights into their knowledge, skills, and professional development.

How OxTrack Works

Teachers take four assessments over time, providing a structured and in-depth evaluation of their progress.

Each assessment builds on the previous one, gradually probing deeper into teachers’ professional knowledge and expertise.

OxTrack not only measures progress but also actively supports teachers in their professional development.

Every teacher is paired with OxTut, an AI-powered tutor that:

  • Elaborates on teachers’ answers, encouraging deeper professional thinking and reflection.

  • Provides practical suggestions to help teachers apply insights in real-world classroom settings.

  • Recommends evidence-based teaching strategies tailored to each teacher’s strengths and areas for improvement.

  • Offers personalised micro-learning activities, allowing teachers to develop skills through short, targeted exercises.

  • Guides teachers in setting and achieving professional development goals, creating a structured path to expertise.

  • Facilitates reflective practice, prompting teachers to analyze their own teaching experiences and refine their methods.

OxTrack ensures that teachers not only understand their current capabilities but also receive the tools to grow and excel.

    Assess

OxTrack’s assessments measure the teacher’s rate of progress towards the most advanced levels of competence and proficiency. While the core knowledge domains assessed remain constant across all four assessments, the questions become increasingly sophisticated, requiring deeper levels of understanding and application.

Track

Each teacher receives a personal record of their performance, including an achievement level that reflects their current expertise.

Grow

Based on assessment results, teachers receive an individualised skills growth plan, providing targeted recommendations to support their professional learning journey. The teacher is then paired with an AI Tutor that sets practical tasks and exercises to help teachers improve their understanding.
